OUR HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET:
We have a large and well-stocked kitchen/pantry, a dining room with a huge table for projects and group dinners, and a "music room"/living room with a piano, a projector for watching movies, really comfortable couches, and a disco ball. There are also two bathrooms, a clothes washer/dryer, and a guest room that opens up onto our seriously fantastic roofdeck. In the summer, we have a garden, picnic table, and kiddie pool in the side yard, and we're working on fixing our compost system too!
We're about a five minute's walk from Central Square on the Red Line and within spitting distance of MIT. Our street is a relatively quiet one that's directly behind Mass Ave -- needless to say, our neighborhood is a pretty cool place to live, with tons of restaurants, bars, quirky shops, and Cambridge flair.

LIVING AT THE BADHOUSE:
The kitchen is the heart of coop life at the BADHouse. We have a shared vegetarian food system, buy 98% of our food purchases on a common bill (some people buy and cook their own meat), and try to cook and eat house dinners together multiple times a week. Our food purchases lean towards CSA, local and "whole" foods, as budget allows and with some exceptions, and we work to be respectful of everyone's different food restrictions.
We also have house meetings at least once a month to check in, share concerns, plan larger projects and make decisions about the house. We're relatively laid-back as a cooperative -- we enjoy spending time with each other and working to make it a comfortable and fun home for all of us. We like people with passions who are excited about sharing those passions with us! We have had, and would like to continue having, a pretty diverse mix of perspectives and backgrounds in the house and creating a space that is as safe as possible for all members.
The last time we created a bullet list for our house values, some of the key phrases were: diversity, inclusiveness, art, h u m o r, environmentalist, pet-friendly, respectful, and avocados. One of the strengths of our community is that it's constantly changing and growing with every new person!
